Pre-Engagement Sessions

Rules of Engagement

Relationships are a matter of the heart so they involve strong emotions and intense personal desires. At the same time, few of us get any real training in how relationships work so we are novices at how to guide these powerful forces. It is wise to discern if the two of you have what it takes, not just to be happy, but to work through the rigors of a married life together.

Premarital Counseling

Before you say I do....say I will... to premarital counseling

The six hours of counseling sessions are typically held in two hours session over several weeks. A Marriage Preparation Inventory, is taken which is a series of questions designed to assist dialogue with your fiance regarding goals, habits, expectations, and values. The sessions cover topics such as the areas of emotional need for the wife in the marriage are identified as affection, intimate conversation, honesty and openness, financial support, and family commitment. For the man, critical emotional needs are defined as sexual fulfillment, recreational companionship, physical attractiveness, domestic support, and admiration.
